Das Namensregister umfasst über 2200 Personen.The North America department of the missionary archives of the Francke Foundations has a collection of manuscripts pertaining exclusively to the relations with the Halle orphanage in Georgia, where the pietists looked after a congregation of Salzburg emigrants in the 18th century. This collection encompasses 1067 manuscripts with a total of over 7000 manuscript pages. It contains rich source material on a huge variety of aspects of the history of colonialism in North America. The archive material has been completely recatalogued and every hitherto unpublished document summarized.
