He was the gentleman with the vision, a former air-force man who quickly learned the trade of carpentry, self-taught for the most part. Although he was the builder, it was his wife Alyda Bowley Ryerson who ran the company with an iron hand, tender at heart, but tough as nails when required. The company thrived for two decades, and built approximately six hundred homes in London and area.
