This has meant that the size range classifications of 10/12/14/16/18/20 has now been challenged by S/M/L (small, medium and large sizing) which is referred to as Batch sizing. These factors have created a very complex situation for graders and it appears that companies to an extent can interpret sizing in a way that makes commercial sense to their shareholders and is flattering to their customers.At one time grading was an in-house activity. Today grading is mainly either outsourced to a grading bureau or is sent offshore to be completed via size specification by the CMT outworkers. Also Computer grading is now fully accepted as an efficient means of producing quickly and efficiently a range of accurately cut graded patterns.
