Be it remembered, That on the 19th day of Nov. A. D., 1830, in the 55th year of the Independence of the United States of America, John V. Van Ingen, of the said District, (for William M. Green, George W. Freeman, and William D. Cairns, proprietors, in trust for the Episcopal Bible, Prayer Book, Tract, and Missionary Society of North Carolina, ) hath deposited in this office, the title of a Book, the right whereof he claims as Proprietor, in the words following, to wit: "The works of the Right Reverend John Stark Ravenscroft, D. D., Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the diocese of North Carolina. Containing his Sermons, Charges, and Controversial Tracts; to which is prefixed, a Memoir of his Life. Devised by the author to the "Episcopal Bible, Prayer Book, Tract, and Missionary Society of North Carolina," and now published for their benefit." In two volumes. In conformity to the Act of Congress of the United States, entitled "An Act for the encouragement of Learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the time therein mentioned." And also to an Act, entitled "An Act, supplementary to an Act, entitled an Act for the encouragement of Learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."
