I have inserted a few written since on cardio-vascular subjects, among them his last completed paper on "The Examination of the Heart." The papers have been chosen for various reasons, some for their historic interest, such as the one on the Bilateral Association of Nerve Nuclei, called by Dr. Hughlings Jackson "Broadbent's Hypothesis," some to illustrate the variety of his work in the early days, but most of them for the material of interest which they contain for the medical man of to-day.
