Shadow Souls (The Mal' Ak Cycle Book 1)

Christopher A. Nooner
4.9/5 (33083 ratings)
Description:Dear Ms. Wright: I am writing in reference to the journal we discussed. The one I discovered hidden among my Great Uncle's belongings. After delving into its contents and knowing your interest in the orphic and esoteric, I knew you would be intrigued by what I discovered. I have transcribed a portion of the journal, but the contents being what they are, will await your response before I part with the greater portion. It contains ideas that are better left alone if you have not the time nor inclination to pursue the full endeavor of delving into this particular mystery. That being said here is the portion I wish for you to see: September 15, 1986 I saw the man again to-day. Seven Crow he is called. It is astounding to me that he looks virtually the same as he did on that occasion forty years ago when we met. I know this to be true because the events surrounding that meeting have been indelibly imprinted upon my mind. I don't know by what means he has kept his youth, but his strong native features and work hardened physique are undimmed by the passing years. It is surely the work of the native shamanism practiced upon him that has kept him so. I do not know if he saw me, but I endeavored to conceal myself from his knowledge and attention. I feel as though he did not see me, for had he I am sure he would not have let me live. It was imperative for me to know that he was still confined in that hellish prison; whatever confinement means for one such as he. It worries me that all of our years of patience and preparation will be undermined should Keezie somehow cross paths with this man. He has wrecked our past stratagem irreparably and perpetrated much damage to our cause. There are things I long to tell the girl, but know that it is better she find them out for herself. The clues are there if she is clever enough to follow them. Her life will be hard once the forces in play pull her into their maelstrom. I hope I have prepared her well enough as she is the only one that can hope to control the device. Either that or she will die. I will write more as events unfold... Urban Fantasy with a Native American Twist. After spending forty years in prison Eli Seven Crow is weak and lacking the power of his former self. When he is herded headlong into a maelstrom designed to steal his people’s most ancient secrets, his life and the one woman in two hundred years that he might be able to love he must find a way to save himself, or all life will be consumed by the otherworldly evil that his family has worked to defeat since the First People set foot on Mother Earth. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
