Mrs. Arbuckle and I were on the platform and were about the last to be received by him. I had known him but my wife had never met him, and when I introduced her to him he smiled and said the first man that gave him a job in Pittsburgh was a man of her husband's name - James Arbuckle - and asked her what did she think he first received from him in wages. I remarked that, judging from results later, he must have been a very smart boy and probably received an enormous salary.
