Description:The Battle of Fayetteville, Arkansas, occurred on April 18, 1863. It was fought on Arkansas soil between Arkansas Confederates under Brigadier General William L. Cabell and Arkansas Union troops under Colonel M. LaRue Harrison. Union troops stationed in Fayetteville were attacked by Rebel troops seeking to re-take the town.
