Description:Excerpt from Neue Jahrbucher fur Philologie und Paedagogik, oder Kritische Bibliothek fur das Schul-und Unterrichtswesen, 1846, Vol. 48: In Verbindung mit Einem Vereine von GelehrtenWie der Titel andeutet, theilt der Verf. Sein Werk in zwei Theile, den allgemeinen und den besondern. Die Einleitung giebt die Geschichte der Anakreonfrage kurz an. Sehr richtig und beherzigenswerth'ist der Ausspruch Seite 3, dass das asthetische Urtheil uber die Gedichte zu keiner Entscheidung fuhren konne, da manche gar hubsch, des Anakreon nicht unwiirdig scheinen, und doch, wie man sicherlich beweisen konne, weit Spatern Zeit; alter angehoren; also sei die Schonheit eines Gedichts noch kein Beweis dafur, dass es Anakreon zum Verfasser habe, so dass uber haupt die meisten zu erlangenden Resultate negative sein mussen.
