The Church in the Fork: A History of Little Fork Church

4.9/5 (23872 ratings)
Description:"The purpose of this little book is to bring together in one document the two hundred and fifty-plus years of history of Little Fork Church."The sources of this material have been many. To name a few: the original Vestry records of St. Mark's Parish which are among the oldest records in Culpeper County were most helpful; Dr Slaughter's "Notes on Culpeper County" were an excellent source; some of the past rectors of St. Mark's Parish had a fine sense of history and they recorded the events of their day. Some of their records were found on the backs of old letters and some of The Reverend Dr Kensey Hammond's notes were literally found in an old shoe box! Older residents of the County were also able to furnish valuable information. Events concerning restoration of the church are still fresh in everyone's mind and have been duly recorded. Many people have been helpful and kind in assisting me in gathering together this history; and to them I am most grateful. However, it was primarily the encouragement, advice and help of my wife, Elaine, that made this book possible.A. J. B.We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
