To earn his place in Heaven beside the love of his life, Nathan must come to accept that God’s will is just, and that all these people—good and bad—deserve where they’ve ended up. As he draws ever nearer to the circle where he himself should have resided, he becomes more and more convinced that God is right. The final obstacle tests him as none have before, but Nathan ultimately prevails, earning a spot in Heaven—when he dies, that is.
