Description:The Great tree is dying. For centuries, representatives from each dragon tribe, Earth, Wood, Fire, Water and Metal have met at Sung Tao Ming, the Court of the Five Tribes to watch over the tree. The purpose for this observance, though, has been lost to time. In the ocean off Xhou Ju Island, home of the Water Tribe, a golden egg bobs to the surface and from it hatches a tiny dragon possessing traits from all the dragon tribes. Adopted by the Water Tribe, Ki Lau wonders what her true place in the world is, and she’s certain the answers lay on the mainland. Fahn Cho, Emperor Lo Fahn’s only son, is dying. General Ye Lon Mei, the emperor’s advisor, has seen his efforts wasted on the father, but has higher hopes for the son. Praying to the goddess Li Shay to spare the child’s life, he vows to make sure the child grows to be a wise emperor. Two brothers are taught the secrets of Chow Mun Cho, a priest of the Celestial Pact. Yim is more disciplined, but the oldest, Lowmpa, chafes under the priest’s slow tutelage. One night he runs off, hoping to find more power than the monk is willing to offer. In the imperial city of Xiang Mei, he finds that power, but at a price he never expected to pay. Taking advantage of the unstable rule of Emperor Lo Fahn, the fierce warlord, Shi Tai trains his son Tai Teng to become the strongest in the nation. But Tai Teng’s ambition grows beyond that of his father and he makes plans to march upon Xiang Mei to become supreme leader of the land. Time passes and the players find their destinies entwined. The Great Tree’s death threatens to set loose an evil of a celestial power. Unwittingly united with that evil, Lowmpa brings its power to Tai Teng whose massive army is overrunning the fractured empire that newly crowned Fahn Cho is struggling to unite.
