This review and synthesis of the unclassified research literature does not make policy recommendations, nor does it necessarily represent the views of the U.S. Government. Individual managers and supervisors should judge the significance of the information for their activities and communicate appropriate guidance to their personnel. This report was prepared for the Central Intelligence Agency with support and assistance from the Defense Personnel Security Research Center, and it is being disseminated by both organizations.
