He is assisted by Aleksandra Tartarkiewicz, herself a witch of some talent who is a Polish intelligence agent hiding out from Russian spell casters under an assumed name and a false passport. The story is complicated, as usual, by the intervention of Monica Gilbert, who wants to use both Rob’s client and Aleksandra for her own purposes.
