Description:22 polytraumatisierte und septische Patienten einer Intensiv- station wurden im Rahmen einer Doppelblindstudie mit Pirenzepin bzw. Placebo behandelt. Alle Patienten wurden wahrend des Beob- achtungszeitraumes in 14 Tagen dreimal endoskopiert. Ohne Pro- phylaxe waren 100% StreB-Lasionen zu beobachten, 60% wiesen Blu- tungen auf. Eine prophylaktische, intravenose Pirenzepin-Gabe hatte einen eindeutig protektiven Effekt im Hinblick auf die StreB-Blutung, Anzahl und Schweregrad der StreB-Lasionen. Summary Twenty-two severely ill patients with multinle injuries and sepsis were treated with IV pirenzepin or placebo 3 x 10 mg per day in the frame of the double-blind study. All the patients were examined three times with endoscopy during the 14-day ob- servation period. In 100% of cases without prophylactic treat- ment, stress lesions were observed, 60% of these cases had bleeding. A prophylactic IV pirenzepin application had an un- mistakable protective effect regarding the stress bleeding, number and degree of stress lesions. Literatur 1. BRODIE, Experimental peptic ulcer.
