He is also an adjunct professor teaching Organizational Development and Theory in the MBA program at California Lutheran University.Before he became a leader in business, he was a public educator for 5 years in secondary education where he taught English Literature. There he also served as Director of the Soccer Program and Varsity Head Coach. He founded the school’s ﬁrst ever Surf Team and Surf Club where they competed successfully against other high school surf teams. He was nominated by parents and colleagues 3 consecutive years for the prestigious Amgen Teacher of the Year Award.He has over 15 years experience in leadership developing and mentoring teams, building organizational infrastructure, and positively inﬂuencing change.Rick has an MA in Organizational Development and Management from Fielding Graduate University, one year graduate study in Theology from Oxford University, Oxford, England, a Teaching Credential from California Lutheran University, and a BA in English Literature from Westmont College.
